 | Forklift Agency LtdForklift Agency was set up to give my step dad some extra work. He trained as a Forklift Instructor in 2000, once qualified he worked for several different agencies carrying out Forklift Training up and down the country. I offered to set up a website, pay for some marketing and take the phone calls. I got BT to install a second telephone line, knocked up a very basic website and put an advert on a PPC scheme. The adverts went live, and my mobile did not stop ringing. So much so that I couldn't take the telephone calls because i had my day to day job as well. Jeff started to take the phone calls and by the first month the diary was filling up and we had 2 instructors working for us. In 2007 we decided to incorporate the business and Forkift Agency Ltd was born. We completed our first years worth of trading in profit and on to a second successful year. We have since set up a Forklift Training Centre website, to cater for individuals who want a career change. Since November 2008 this falls under Forklift Agency (Nottingham) Ltd, as have have been renting a Forklift Training Centre in Leicester to cover our missed enquiries. Ready for future expansion, we have also set up Forklift Agency Group. Hoping that one day we maybe able to franchise the business out or float the company. Although we do not want to lose the family feel. At one point I even considered applying for Dragons Den, to try and get some investment from the Dragons. The additional publicity, I believe would boost the business. Although I am really happy with the customers we have on our books, these include Lidl, Asda, DFS Trading Ltd and more.
