Rhys Adams : Car Reviews Vauxhall Corsa - 1.3CDTI SXI August 6, 2009 Another hire car, replacement for the Matiz that broke down. Car drove really nice and the engine was quite lively! Car had air con, MP3 compatible CD player and I was getting at least 50mpg from it! Great little car really did shock me and I enjoyed driving it. Only cost me £30 for the weekend from Cocoon! Before the Scirocco I had never been a massive fan of VW's, not because of the looks... But because I have never found them very nice to drive. The Touareg must be about the size of a Range Rover Sport, but when driving it, the car feels small. The engine is very responsive even when mated to the Automatic gearbox. Posted In : Renault Chrysler Grand Voyager - 2.8 CRD Limited March 26, 2009 Loads of gadgets including DVD screens in the rear, automatic door and boot opening, Sat Nav with Hard Drive Entertainment System and iPod control! Full leather on all 7 seats! Engine is alright but the automatic gearbox seems to confuse itself. Was getting about 30mpg out of it. The only reason I would buy this car is for the gadgets! Posted In : Chrysler Renault Laguna Coupe - 2.0 TDI 180bhp March 26, 2009 This car looks fantastic front and back, interior looks the same as the Standard Laguna and as expected the rear seats are limited. But you don't buy one of these cars for the limited space. Driving the car is fantastic, very quick with fantastic response on accelleration. 4 wheel steering feels weird but not scary! Posted In : Renault New Renault Megane Coupe - 2.0 TCE Privilege March 26, 2009 I probably sound a bit one sided on this car as it I drove it the day my Scirocco was delivered, but Renault have done a nice job of the interior and all of the controls feel really good and actually better than the New Laguna. Not very thirsty even for an automatic. Full leather interior with heated seats. Multi Changer with MP3 reader and Bluetooth Phone. To keep the MPG up, you can swith the car in to 2WD only mode. Posted In : Nissan Renault Koleos 2.0dCi 175bhp Privilege March 26, 2009 The car had loads of gadgets, Full Colour Sat Nav, Bluetooth, Aux Input, Full Leather and a nice engine mated to a 6 speed gearbox. But the ride was soft and spongey, and even going round the slowest corners made you feel like you were going to fall out. I took the Koleos to Wales over August '08 bank holiday and even as a driver I felt travel sick. Cheap on Contract Hire though. Continue reading... Posted by Rhys Adams. Posted In : Renault VW Scirocco 2.0 TSI GT March 26, 2009 Only had use of this vehicle since February 2009, but first impressions o this car is excellent. The car is set up almost perfectly. With buttons to adjust the suspension. The engine is nice and nippy, but also very drivable at slow speeds. I am already averaging 42mpg in the car! Will keep you updated on this car as time goes on.
